Adult Autism Assessments – Compassionate, Affirming, and Insightful
Have you ever wondered if you might be autistic—but never felt like the diagnostic process was designed for someone like you?
Many adults seek autism assessment later in life, often after years of feeling “different,” misunderstood, or exhausted from masking. Whether you’re exploring identity, seeking clarity, or looking for formal documentation, you deserve an assessment that’s respectful, personalized, and neurodiversity-affirming.
Who I Work With
✅ People who were overlooked or misdiagnosed in childhood
✅ Women, trans, and nonbinary adults
✅ Adults with histories of anxiety, trauma, or ADHD
✅ People exploring a late-diagnosed or self-identified autistic identity
✅ Neurodivergent individuals seeking documentation for work*, school*, or personal insight
(*Please check with your workplace/school on specific requirements. My evaluation may not fulfill all requirements.)
What to Expect from the Assessment
A detailed clinical interview (including developmental history and current experiences)
Self-report questionnaires and structured tools
Optional input from a trusted person (if available)
A feedback session to review findings and next steps
A written report, if requested, which can be used for workplace or school accommodations
All assessments are conducted via secure telehealth for your convenience.

- To build self-compassion and a language for your needs
- To clarify co-occurring conditions like ADHD, anxiety, or trauma responses
Fees, Insurance, and Availability
Fee Schedule
Clinical Intake Interview: $200
If no testing is recommended or desired, this will be the total cost. No report will be provided. Fee is due at the time of the intake appointment.
Adult Autism Assessment: $160/hour (billed in 15-min increments)
This includes services rendered after the clinical intake interview. Services include test session(s), collateral interviews, scoring tests, interpretation of results, report writing, and client feedback. Fees are due at the time of service.
Any additional psychological services not noted above: $160/hour (billed in 15-min increments)
Insurance
Your health insurance plan may cover some of the cost of an adult autism assessment. Prior authorization may be required. Some plans will not consider this type of assessment to be medically necessary, and therefore will not provide any coverage for testing. I will work with you to find out what your insurance plan may cover. I’m happy to provide a superbill for insurance reimbursement.
Please be aware that when requesting prior authorization, I am required to provide information about which diagnoses are being considered, as this is used to justify the medical necessity of testing/assessment. Insurance claims filed on your behalf also require that I document a diagnosis or diagnoses for each service rendered. For those requesting a superbill for out-of-network benefits, the superbill must include diagnostic information as well.
Availability
Estimated availability: August/September
Generally speaking, there is less wait time for scheduling if paying out of pocket vs. using insurance. More time is needed to verify benefits, obtain authorization, etc. when using insurance.
